On September 9, 2022 we commemorated the fourth anniversary of the beatification of our Foundress, Mother Alphonse Marie. This Feastday unites, in a special way, all three Congregations originated from the foundation of Blessed Alphonse Marie.
We live in such a turbulent time, in which the events around us and in the whole world are shaking people and sometimes pushing them to their limits. This leads us to ask the question of the meaning of our lives. Let us look to a woman who, also, faced the question of the meaning of her life.
Of course we are happy that our Foundress is venerated as “Blessed” in the Church. Yet we know very well that we cannot stop here. We are called to become a witness and put into practice her message.
Every community of our Congregation celebrated her Feastday by the celebration of Holy Mass. This year, the Generalate celebrated the Feast of Blessed Alphonse Marie in the Cathedral of St. Martin, in Eisenstadt, during Holy Mass at 6:30 p.m. with the congregation of believers. Holy Mass was celebrated by priests from the Calazancian Order, Father David Gold and Father Matthias Gabriel. At the beginning, the Superior General, Sr. Johanna Vogl, shortly introduced the life and work of our Foundress, Blessed Alphonse Marie. After Holy Mass books about Mother Alphonse Marie, pamphlets with her thoughts and holy cards with prayers were distributed. People showed a great interest in our Blessed Foundress.
