Day for Consecrated Life
In keeping with the world diocese, the Religious Brothers and Sisters of Eisenstadt Diocese celebrated the “Day for Consecrated Life” on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. At 3:00 p.m. we prayed Vespers with our Bishop Ägidius J. Zsifkovics in St. Martin Cathedral, in Eisenstadt.
More than 140 Consecrated Men and Women from 18 different Religious Communities live and work in the Diocese of Eisenstadt. We, the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer from the Generalate, the Provincial Motherhouse, Theresianum, and Marianum Steinberg, participated in the celebration.
After Vespers, we met in Cathedral Parish Center, where the celebration continued. Thirteen consecrated women and five men, who this year celebrate their religious anniversaries, were acknowledged. Among the Jubilarians were many of our Sisters. Father Lorenz Voith, CSsR, Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Men and Women and Religious Communities in the Diocese of Eisenstadt, invited some Jubilarians to share their religious path and their vocation.
Bishop Ägidius thanked all the Consecrated Men and Women for their work in the Diocese, which is an abundant blessing for God’s people. He encouraged all of us to meet people, listen to them, serve them, and to bear witness to the love of Jesus, wherever we are.
