A changeable life also had

Sister Maria Bernarda
Theresia Scheu.

At the age of 100, she died on January 19, 2026, at noon, in the Provincial House
in Eisenstadt. She made her Profession 73 year ago. 

Sister M. Bernarda was a Registered Nurse, and for decades she worked
in Mercy Brothers Hospitals in Eisenstadt and Salzburg.
She experienced difficult years of building and massive development
in the hospital system and nursing. She was open to everything new and tried
to implement suggestions for spiritual life and in her ministry
in the post-conciliar Church. Life in nature, pilgrimages and hikes
in the mountains became her source of strength.

We thank our Sister Bernarda for her joy which accompanied her life,
always united with Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of the world.

Eternal rest grant her, O Lord!
