Sister Maria Gabriela
Gertruda Schedl

ended. She passed away before midnight on October 9, 2026, in the Provincial House,
at the age of  82 and in the 61^st year of her Profession.

Sr. Gabriela graduated as a registered nurse and worked especially
in the Mercy Brothers Hospitals  in Graz, Salzburg, and Eisenstadt.
In Eisenstadt, she was also head of nursing, pastoral assistant,
and a member of the Pastoral Council.

She was also the Provincial Superior of the Austrian Province for one turn of office.
Then, as a Superior of the Provincial House, she took care of the needs of the Sisters.

Sister Gabriela found fulfillment in helping people and providing them with advice
in the field of nursing services.
Her last years of life were marked by severe illness and suffering.
In Christian hope, she longed for redemption and finally, God unexpectedly
called her to Himself.

We thank our deceased Sister for her life and work
In the spirit of the Divine Redeemer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026,
at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Provincial House, Eisenstadt, Kirchengasse 49.

The evening before the funeral, October 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
a Prayer service will be held for our deceased Sister
in the Chapel of the Provincial House.
